Supporting small businesses is something that we should all be trying to do. Why wouldn’t we want to support those who are trying to make an income doing what they love? It feels good to be able to help others, especially when you can see they put a lot of hard work and dedication into their work.
You might think that the only way for you to support small businesses is to regularly buy their products but that’s not always the case. Although we do rely heavily on sales, that’s not the only thing that helps us. There are 3 things that you can do right now that might help someone who is trying to boost their income and generate more sales.
Leave a review
Leaving a positive review helps small businesses immensely. It only takes a minute or two yet so many customers don’t think of leaving one. There’s no such thing as having too many reviews, either, so don’t let that put you off. A couple of minutes out of your day can make a huge difference to someone’s business. And we also love to receive any feedback on our products!
Share posts on social media
Another very simple way of helping a small business to grow is to simply share their social media posts. It only takes a few seconds but a simple retweet or repost could mean a few more sales for that small business. That could help them to pay their rent! So, what looks like a very small act of kindness is actually a huge act of kindness.
Recommend their business through word of mouth
Contrary to what a lot of people might believe, word of mouth marketing is still really effective. Not everyone spends a lot of time on social media, but does that mean that they should miss out? No. If you really like a product and you think that your friend or neighbour or family member might like it too, then it really is as simple as telling them about it. It might be just what they’ve been looking for!
There are various ways that you can help small businesses and I can assure you that we greatly appreciate any support that we get. Every share, every purchase, and every recommendation helps us to keep doing what we love. Let’s continue to support small businesses as much as possible because they really do rely on our support!
